I knew Francis in Richland Center when we were in high school together. For some reason, his image (as he was then) came to me about the time he died--I remember his smile well. As another friend mentioned, he was intelligent, kind, helpful, trustworthy and sharing--even as a teenager!

Liz, We just heard about Fran tonight. I am so sad for you having this happen at this time of year. Your SECO friends will remember Fran forever as a man of quality and integrity. Once we got him loosened up, he was a hoot on Daytona Beach every summer! Those memories we will carry forever! God Bless you and your family during this difficult time. Hugs...Mary and Joe

Dear Liz and Family,
It was our pleasure and good fortune to meet Fran and Liz, spendimg many quality times at meetings around the country. Most noteably our summer rendeavous on the beachs of Daytona. Fran was very intellegent and equally sharing of his knowledge to those who would seek him out. He is a great example of how to be kind, helpful, and trustworthy in all actions and deeds. We were beneficiaries of his kindness and caring. May the Lord bless and keep you wrapped in His love as you celebrate Fran's life, recover from his passing and move on with yours. Love

As others have written, the picture of Fran is the Fran that I have known and admired for many years. Fran was an extremely dedicated man to his work and even more so to his family. A man to be respected and emulated by others. It seems that everyone at Hood knew Fran…... A Hood icon. I will miss him greatly.
My sympathies go out to his family and friends.

With a heavy heart, I say farewell to my friend of many years. We worked together in Winchester since the inception of the plant. Always a smiling face, optimistic and had a very positive way with all he associated. He will be deeply missed by many. RIP Fran.

Liz & Family - My heart is so hurt to hear of Fran's passing. I will miss his visits to Winchester. I have a lot to owe Fran, including a career at Hood that began 15 years ago - along with the wealth of knowledge he shared to those who were willing to learn. I enjoyed working with him and sharing stories of family, vacations and all the pictures he would proudly show. His love for Liz, his children & the grands is what comes to mind when I think of Fran. What a joy it was to know such a wonderful man. My love, thoughts & prayers are with all of you during this time.

My deepest sympathy to Fran's wife and family. We have never met but I have worked with Fran for many years and he was one of the "good" ones. I admired his knowledge, enthusiasm, pragmatism, team spirit and his tenacity. When he talked about his family, his face would light up and he smiled with pride and affection. The photo you have selected is great - that is how I will remember him, that wonderful smile. Thanks for sharing him with us at Hood! Theresa Bresten
