Joseph Reiter Obituary

Joseph M. Reiter, 93, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Charles and Caroline Reiter. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rose Reiter.

He worked as a painting contractor for over 40 years until his retirement. Joseph was a Worshipful Master with Barger Lodge #333. He was an avid golfer and had a fondness for Wedgewood Golf Club. Joseph enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and golf. He and his wife are members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is lovingly remembered by his children: Bonnie (Sandy) Macgilvray, Brenda (Mel) Carter, David (Brenda) Soltysik, and Karen (Robert) Cozzie; grandchildren: Alex, Josh, Jillian, Jenna, and Chad; and great-grandchildren: Ian and Jasmine.

He was preceded in passing by his siblings: Charles, Lena, and Frank.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at 11AM at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum 547 N Krocks Rd, Allentown, PA 18106.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph's name to the Shriner Children's Hospital.

Dearest Rose
Our hearts are sad to read of Joe´s passing. We are very glad to have many fond memories of you and Joe through our love of golf. Memories from Wedgewood and our time with you at Briarwood. We pray you will feel God´s strength, love and peace in your valley of sadness.
