Maria Nilo Obituary

NILO Maria A. (Tina) Nilo, age 83, of Easton, the beloved wife of the late Michael Nilo, entered into rest on Saturday, December 28, 2003, at Northbridge Health Care, Bridgeport. Born in Amalfi, Italy on September 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni & Maria (Carrano) Buonocore and was a Bridgeport and Easton resident all of her life. Mrs. Nilo was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved being with her family cooking and gardening. Survivors include her beloved family, one son, Joseph Nilo and his wife, Jeanne of Camp Hill, Pa., one daughter, Helen DeCaro and her husband, John of Easton; two grandsons, Michael and Nicholas Nilo; one brother, Alphonso Buonocore of Amalfi, Italy; her special friends, Marie and Lester (Ziggy) DeCaro of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at 9 a.m., DIRECTLY in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 640 Morehouse Road, Easton. Interment will be in Mt. Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport.
