June was born, raised and lived her entire life in Marietta, and was the fifth of seven siblings. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1951 and married the love of her life, Harold Stewart Brannen, Sr. on June 20, 1953. They were happily married 53 years until his death in 2006. She found love again late in life and enjoyed the company of Dr. A. Henry Randall for 6 years until his death earlier this year.
June loved being surrounded with family, entertaining, gardening, traveling and cooking. Friends and family raved about her pepper jelly, pralines and pound cake with caramel icing. She had a zest for life and was always more than happy to help others. She had a kind heart, a quick wit and contagious giggle. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church her entire life and served on the Altar Guild. She was an avid golfer and member of Pinetree Country Club. She served her community through the years and dedicated countless hours of volunteer work through the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta, Mountain Laurel Garden Club, and was a member of her bridge club for more than 60 years.
A successful real estate agent, June started her career with Watkins Realty and later earned her broker's license and started a business, BIC (Best In Cobb) Realty. She later joined Northside Realty, then Coldwell Banker. She was the recipient of the Million Dollar Club and the Phoenix Award by the Cobb Association of Realtors.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Harold (Pam), Marietta, GA; Lynne (Cindy), Appling, GA; Tommy (Melanie), Augusta, GA; nine grandchildren, Ben, Ansley, Bryan, Caroline, Patrick, Chandler, Christopher, Barrett and Grace; and seven great-grandchildren, Bennett, Blake, Brooks, Bailey, Margot, Andie and Theodore; her brother, Paul Cranmer, Atlanta, GA; and her sister, Joyce Holloway of Monrovia, CA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley, Bob and Tom Cranmer, her sister, Nadine Read, and her parents, Mary and Chester Cranmer of Marietta.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her beloved grandchildren.
Please consider this unconventional request in June's memory: Enjoy a skosh of wine, solve a crossword puzzle, feed the birds, and spend time with your loved ones!
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Marietta.
