Jane Bradford

1917 - 2016

Jane L. Bradford passed away April 3, 2016, at her home in Little River, California. She was born in La Salle, Colorado, to Edith Kerr and Francis James Lawrence, on Jan. 27, 1917, and named Katherine Jane.
Her family moved to and built a home in Palo Alto, California. After attending local schools, San Jose State and the University of California at Berkeley, Jane was married, while still a student, to William Olaf Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins graduated from Cal as a geologist and mining engineer, taking his wife and young son to Nevada where he managed a quicksilver mine. Together they raised three children, William O. Jenkins Jr., David Lawrence Jenkins and Susan Elizabeth, who died March 26, 1997. Mr. William O. Jenkins Sr. died Feb. 10, 1962.
David has two daughters, Karen Stauder of Corvallis, Oregon, and Rachelle Jenkins of Milpitas, California.
On Jan. 13, 1971, Jane married Philip Barr Bradford, and moved to Greenbrae, Marin County, California. Mr. Bradford died March 23, 1975.
On Sept. 1, 1999, Jane and her friend Jean B. May bought a house together at The Woods in Little River.
