Judith Jamison Obituary

Judith Maxine Jamison
1944-2023
Judith Maxine Jamison ""Auntie Jude"" passed away on August 1, 2023 at the age of 79. She was surrounded by family in Yuma, Arizona.
Judy was born in Fort Bragg, California on June 21, 1944, to Mary and Eugene Jamison, both now deceased. She is proceeded in death by her loving brothers and sister; Kenneth, William, Carlton, Eugene Jr., and Nadine.
Judy attended schools in Mendocino, California and graduated with the class of 1963. Judy enjoyed many extracurricular activities like cheerleading, Glee Club, Annual Staff, Hilltop Volcano, Spanish Club, GAA, and CSF. She was also a member of the choir at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Judy spent her earlier years between Mendocino, and Hayward. The family then moved to Livermore where her parents opened Jamison Printing Company. Judy prided herself in being their first employee as a bookkeeper.
Judy worked at Bank of California in San Francisco for many years as an auditor. In the early 80's she moved to Covelo, California to help her parents. During her time there, she worked at Wells Fargo bank, and the Round Valley Health Center as an accountant. Later, her and her mother Mary opened Kountry Quilts, a craft and fabric store. Being such a social person, she also managed the Buckhorn Bar and worked at the hotels pizza parlor to fill her evenings. Her last employment was at the Round Valley Senior Center where she was the director.
Judy had a love for quilting. She made so many beautiful quilts and loved to give them away. She loved jewelry, especially bracelets, small cute purses, flamingos, Rod Stewart, and casinos (She was the luckiest person I knew). She loved to cook and teach the kids how to cook (the correct way). Yellow rice and the Jamison salad dressing were specialties.
Judy had a perpetual smile and a generous heart. She was looked up to and respected by all. She never had the chance to have kids of her own, but she was surrounded by so many nieces and nephews that she considered her own. Judy was world-renowned for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Judy lived a long and very blessed life. She will be missed dearly. ""It's Cocktail Time""
Judy is survived by her sisters in law, Susan Jamison, Gina Jamison, Kathrin Jamison, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, along with many cousins and great friends.
Funeral services will be held on November 11, 2023 at the Round Valley Headquarters Cemetery in Covelo, California at 12:00 p.m. A reception and celebration of life will follow at the Senior Center, 77826 Covelo Rd, Covelo, California.
