CORY STOKES
DECEMBER 9, 1969 - DECEMBER 10, 2015
Cory was born December 9, 1969. He was born and raised in Los Banos, CA by his parents, Carolyn and Jerry Stokes. His professional career as a sales rep for various Jan-San businesses spanned over 17 years, and with a personal moto of "The only difference between me and the next guy is my name, my word and my service," he built a base of customers that quickly became loyal friends. As naturally as it was for Cory to excel at those things he loved and found challenging, nothing compared to the passion with which Cory would take any welcome opportunity to speak of his relationship with, and love for, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  And so, it is with that love that Cory accepted the invitation home to rest with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2015. As his family, we extend to each of you, the invitation to join us in giving thanks to the Lord for the time, love, friendship and memories he so graciously gave us within the man God created in his very image, that we came to know and love so very dearly as Cory Stokes.
Cory is preceded in death by his grandparents, Namen & Mary Stokes; uncle, Larry Stokes and in-laws, Jess & Grace Jurado, Jr.  He is survived by his wife, Ronnica J. Stokes; son, Cyrus Stokes (Ashley Smith); his parents, Jerry & Carolyn Stokes; brothers Lonnie (Mandy) Stokes, Aeron Stokes (Jessica Wright); grandparents, Bill and Mildred Gillian; nieces, Macy and Gabrielle Stokes; nephews, Dakota, Ethan and Memphis Stokes, Brandon and Logan Jurado, Justin Hopson, and Ryder Loveless.  Cory was also awiting the blessed arrival of his first grandchild.
