Matthew Melvin Selby passed away on January 22, 2015. He was born in Madera, CA on June 11, 1981.
Matt worked as a cattle hauler for over fifteen years in the family business. He loved children and was a devoted father and uncle. He was an avid San Francisco Giants and Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed playing softball and golf. He spent many happy times at the Giants games and was looking forward to the upcoming season. He had many friends; amongst them his childhood friends who he spent many nights at the coast making memories with. Matt touched the lives of many and will be remembered.
He is survived by his wife Melanie, his young daughter Bella, his parents Mel and Marcia Selby, his sister Melody and Bobby Dibler, his brother Mark and Michelle Selby, his nieces Kelsey and Kayla Dibler, Madison and Hailey Selby and nephew Brandon and Brianna Dibler and nephews Ryan and Travis Selby. He was preceded in death by his nephew Dylan Selby.
Graveside services will be held at the Chowchilla Cemetery located at 23359 Rd. 14 ½ on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:00am. Funeral arrangements are being made by Palm Memorial Worden Chapel Funeral Home.

I wanted to reach out to the entire Selby family to offer my deepest condolence on behalf of my family. My Mother, Margaret Ledbetter Cox, was first cousin to Mel. Our families have lost touch over the years, but our love and prayers are with all of you during this horrible time. I am saddened that I never had the opportunity to meet my cousin Matt.
