Michael Kleiber Obituary
2/12/1928-6/25/2012
Michael O. Kleiber was born on February 12, 1928 to Kaspar and Theresa Kleiber and passed on June 25, 2012 at the age of 84.
While his family was immigrating to the U.S., Michael was born on the SS Hamburg in Muskogee, OK. He later moved to Galt, CA and then finally settled in Planada, CA.
Michael worked as a Lineman and Engineer for 35 years for Pacific Bell which later became AT&T. He was also a farmer and harvested almonds.
He enjoyed taking road trips, going to flea markets and swap meets, and was also a member of the B.P.O.E. ELK 1240.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mathilda "Tillie" Stroming.
He is survived by his son, Michael K. Kleiber (Laura); daughter, Michelle Kelly (Jeff); and 2 grandchildren.
Recitation of Rosary will be at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be at Our Lady of Mercy, corner of 21st and Canal, Merced, CA on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00am.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.

Michael,you will be missed by all. My condolences to the family. I remember your kindness when I worked at your place with your folks and sometimes with you, during my high school years. Even afterwards, when I started working for the county parks and recreation at lake yosemite. I have fond memories of you, dad, and mom. Our prayers and thoughts are with your loved ones. God bless.
