Nancy Higgins Obituary
July 12, 1927 - June 8, 2018
Nancy Lee Higgins was born to Samuel and Zanna Brady in Heber Springs, Arkansas and passed away in Merced on June 8, 2018, at the age of 90. The family moved from Arkansas and settled in Atwater, California in the 1930's. Nancy attended schools in Atwater before moving to Richmond, California. There she met Orville Higgins and they married in 1946. They moved their family to Manteca, California , where they both worked for the government at Tracy Defense Depot. After retiring from the Depot, Nancy moved to Merced to be close to her family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Orville Higgins and her son, Michael Higgins. She is survived by her daughter Sheila and son-in-law Charles Reynolds, daughter-in-law Mary Higgins, three grandchildren: Bobby Higgins, Kristen Grosh and husband Daniel, and Sandy Higgins, three great-grandchildren: Veronica Salas, Matthew Grosh, and Sarah Grosh.
Visitation for Nancy will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Whitton Family Funeral Service. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Merced Cemetery District.
