Dr. Robert J. Campbell
April 1, 1933 - April 3, 2016
Dr. Robert J. Campbell passed away peacefully in his home on April 3, 2016. Robert "Bob" was born in Lost Corner, Arkansas on April 1, 1933. 
 The family moved from Arkansas to California, ending up in Madera where he graduated from Madera High School and then attended Fresno State University. After attending Fresno State for two years he transferred to UC San Francisco Dental School where he graduated. Dr. Campbell opened his dental practice on the 2nd floor of the Mondo Building in 1958 at the age of 24. He later relocated his 42 year dental practice to 501 West 25th Street.
 Bob was an avid hunter, woodworker, painter and photographer. He also enjoyed golf and tennis, at one time holding a three handicap in golf and Madera High School's #1 tennis player.  He continued to enjoy golf and tennis into his 60's.
 Bob was preceded in death by his parents Sterling and Eunice Campbell.
 He is survived by his wife Carol and children Lori Howard, Sean Campbell (Gloria), Renee Nelson (Jim) and Michael McPherson; grandchildren, Juliet Howard, Juli Campbell, Kassondra Speaks (Christopher), Jacob Nelson, McKenzie Nelson, Melissa and Scottie McPherson and great-grandson Dean Speaks.
 Bob most enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be sincerely missed by countless faithful patients, fiercely loyal friends and an eternally loving family.
   Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 South 6th Street, Chowchilla, CA with funeral services to follow on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Plainsburg Cemetery in Le Grand.
