Robert Thomas Obituary
Robert Ray Thomas Sr., born October 30, 1941 in Madera, California to Howard and Myrtle Thomas, passed away in Modesto, California on July 1, 2008 at the age of 66 years.
“Bob” as he was more affectionately known was a loving father and husband who deeply cherished his family and who will be missed fondly by all who knew him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Myrtle Thomas, his brother Joe Thomas, and sisters Mildred Lute, Fanny Patterson and Lola Petty. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Lucille Thomas of Merced; sons Richard and Carol Thomas and Robert Thomas, all of Merced; brother-in-law Robert Warren; brothers Jack Martin of Mariposa, Jim Martin of Idaho and sister, Patty Harris of Elk Grove. Also surviving Bob are his 5 wonderful grandchildren Carmen, Elizabeth, D.J., Allen and Michael.
Per Bob's wishes, there will not be any services held in his honor.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
