Vance Tolleson Obituary
November 24, 1989 - January 21, 2021
Atwater, California - Vance Tolleson passed away January 21, 2021, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He died in his home, surrounded by family. He was 31 years young.
Vance was born November 24, 1989 to Marty Tolleson and Tanya Muniz Livingston. He attended Shaffer Elementary, Evergreen Christian for Junior High, and Atwater High School Independent Study Program. Vance enjoyed Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell movies, Anime, video games and going to Las Vegas with his one true love and long-time girlfriend Katie Trieweiler. He loved his pet rats and had many over the years.
In his teens, Vance looked forward to summer trips to his Aunt Arabella and Uncle Victor's house where he made wonderful memories with his cousins Dylan and Desiree.
Everyone who knew Vance was inspired by him. Friedreichs Ataxia had him wheelchair bound by age14, but he never gave up on life. He and Katie maintained a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise at local gyms. Although his mobility was extremely limited, he never stopped working to maintain what he could. With Katie's unconditional love and support, and the support of his family, Vance was able to live his best life. He was smart, funny, kind, and always willing to help those in need. His smile and his laugh would bring the whole room to laughter. His strength and courage are what most will remember him for. He was a true warrior and will be greatly missed.
Vance is survived by his mother Tanya Muniz Livingston and step-father Rodney Livingston; his father Marty Tolleson and step-mother Roxanne Tolleson; Girlfriend Katie Trieweiler; sisters Raquel Tolleson Ornelas and Sierra Livingston (Dillon); step siblings Stephanie Gonzales (Albert/JR) and Steven McWatters (Morgan); Aunts Arabella Fields (Victor), Andrea Muniz (DJ), Gina Arnold (Brenda), Caroline Avila (Joe) and Michelle Livingston; nephews Isaiah Ornelas, Colton Doffee and Ritchie Gomez-Gonzales; nieces Isabella Ornelas, Callie Doffee and Mariah Gonzales; cousins Dylan Fields (Tiffany), Desiree Fields, Zoey Doble, Jared Hansen, Michael Hansen and many more.
Due to Covid-19, a private, family only service will be held for Vance at Valley Christian Church on Thursday, January 28th.

I have so many fond memories of Vance and will forever be greatful for the time I had to get to know him. Playing video games with him at my Aunt Virginia/Uncle Roy's place was one of my favorites. Rest easy man, miss you bro.

No one can understand the pain of losing their child or a young family member, taken years before they should have been.. It is truly a saddness like no other and regardless if he was an adult he was still too young he was still your son. I truly send you prayers of strength at this time and hope you can also remember his life as a blessing and be honored and thankful for every day you did have with him. That saying of none of us are promised a tommorow seems empty until times like this.. Again thinking of you at this time and truly sending love and support.... You are strong it has what has gotten you thru life.. You will be ok..

Everyday I love you, every day I will continue to love you. Always creative and imaginative. I can only imagine how you would have designed the Comic Con outfit you wanted me to wear.
