Resident of San Jose
Aki Yoneda was born in Gilroy, CA on December 30, 1923 and passed away on March 3, 2015.
He was predeceased in death by his wife Yooko and son Riki and is survived by loving companion, Miyo Sakai, daughter Kimi (Kurt) Miyamura, son Ken (Laurie) Yoneda and daughter Yuri Yoneda.
Aki was a longtime resident of San Jose where he farmed, attended Stanford (BA '58, MA '59) and became a school counselor.
Services were held at the San Jose Buddhist Church on March 15, 2015.

I did not know until recently that Akira Yoneda passed away. He was a very fine and helpful courteous gentleman. When I was a kid, he often played with his children's friends such as me and with his own children. He showed great interest in his family. I personally feel that he was a fine parent to his children and a fine husband to his wife. I have pleasant memories of the I spent with Akira Yoneda and his family. I'm sorry to read that he passed away. I send my condolences to his family.
