Resident of San Jose
Ed passed away peacefully on Jan. 13, 2013 due to complications from pneumonia. He was 91 years old. Ed is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Brandon as well as his son Dave Brandon, daughter in law Kelly and granddaughter Katie. He was predeceased by his sisters Clara Campo and Frances Carbone and brother Frank Brandon.
Ed was born in Stockton, Ca. and raised in nearby Ceres, Ca. After graduating from Ceres high school, Ed joined the Army Air Corps and served in the South Pacific during World War II. After returning home, Ed began a long career as a truck driver and retired from Joseph George Distributor in 1983.
In retirement, Ed enjoyed traveling, tending to his fruit trees and garden and being with family and friends. Ed was also a sports fan who truly enjoyed baseball and auto racing.
Friends are invited to attend a Visitation and Rosary at Lima Family Erickson Mortuary, 710 Willow St., San Jose from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday Jan. 24. A funeral Mass will be held Fri. Jan. 25 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4601 Hyland Ave., San Jose beginning at 11am. Burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery. Please dress casual if you prefer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
