Janice Melinda

Maxwell

Longtime resident of San Jose

Passed away on November 29, 2011, due to complications from diabetes. She was 66.

Janice was born in Seattle on May 5, 1945, and lived in San Jose and Palo Alto before settling in San Jose after marrying her husband Robert in 1965.

A member of the Glenna Harris Weaver's Guild for many years, she produced woven and knitted items for friends, family, and craft fairs. Later, she developed an interest in genealogy, and spent many hours tracing her family history back throughout Europe.

She is predeceased by her parents Norman and Deane Brown of Palo Alto. She is survived by her husband Robert, and by her brothers Doug Brown of Capitola, Keith Brown of Livermore, and Rusty Brown of Santa Cruz.

A memorial service will be held for Janice on Monday, December 19, at 11:00 am at George Mark Children's House, 2121 George Mark Lane, San Leandro, CA 94578. Donations in her honor may also be made to GMCH.
