John Waters Obituary

John (Jack) Waters
April 8, 1919 - April 4, 2013
Resident of Cupertino
It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Waters announces his unexpected death on Thursday, April 4, 2012 at the age of 93. Jack was a very active member of the Santa Clara County Community since 1960 when he moved to Cupertino with his lovely wife Betty and sons Randy and Steve and he became employed as an engineer at Lockheed. After Betty's death due to heart failure Jack retired from Lockheed and he married Edith Waters and they had 30 wonderful years of good health, traveling all around the world, taking water aerobics classes, active in Bedouins Motor Home Club, and the West Valley Presbyterian Church. Anyone who had the good fortune to know Jack believes that he is truly "one in a million". He concluded all family prayers with "let us live our lives as Christians" and he did; he began every day reading his daily devotional, and was kind and loving to everyone and everything. He was shy about his woodworking talents and his ability to garden fruits and vegetables.
He loved his family; wife Edith Waters, brother Norm Waters, son Randy Waters and his wife Yvonne, and their family Aimee, Jason, Ethan and Faith; son Steve Waters and wife Jennifer and their family, Ben, Kim & Marie, Andrew, and Kimberly. Ron Ard and his wife Carole and their family, Scott, Therese, Jonathan, Allison, Allan, Brett, Todd, Danielle, Morgan Madison, Chris and Claire; Tom Ard and his wife Pegi ad their family Brian, Kristin, Mike and Kayla.
A memorial service is being held in his honor on this Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2PM at the West Valley Presbyterian Church, 6191 Bollinger Rd, Cupertino CA 95014. Donations may be given to the West Valley Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Waters was one of the kindest, gentlest, man I have ever known.
I will always remember him letting me borrow his catchers mitt when I was young, and always buying the Little League candy from me. I enjoyed talking to him throughout the years. I only wish that I would have known about his passing sooner as I would have liked to have been at his services. Always a smile on his face when I saw him and welcomed me into his home everytime I stopped by to say hello. RIP Mr. Waters.
