Mary Ellen Glendinning

Resident of Palo Alto

May 31, 1938-Oct. 25, 2011

Mary passed away peacefully on October 25, 2011. She was born on May 31, 1938 in Fargo, North Dakota to parents Abe W. and Orinda (Riste) Beiers. She was a loving wife to Finis Glendinning for 55 years. Mary worked at C.A.R. and Grace Lutheran Church and volunteered for many organizations, including the South Bay Food closet, The Terrace, and most recently RAFT.

Mary is survived by her husband Finis, her sons Finis III and Jonathan, her daughters Shawn (David) and Terri (Frank), her brother Keith, grandchildren Natasha, Finis IV, Connor and Kira, and nieces and nephews. She was especially close to her niece Tracy.

Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Palo Alto November 5th at 11:00 am. Remembrances can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Dear Family of Mary" We will miss that chearful smile and greeting we always had from Mary. She was truly a saint in the eyes of myself and my late wife. A friend indeed and one whom we will all miss. Blessings to the family from an old friendship.

It was a wonderful pleasure to get to play handbells with Mary for many years. Her sense of humor, friendly spirit, and fantastic cooking! She will be missed. Mary, you got rhythm!
