Resident Of San Jose
Mary Catherine Ogilvie passed away on Wednesday after a recent illness.
Cathy, as she was known, was born in Clarke County, MS and was Valedictorian of her high school graduating class in 1950.
She met and married David Ogilvie, who was in the Air Force and stationed nearby, in December 1953. They were married until his death in 2013. They came to San Jose several times to live while David was in the Air Force, and finally retired here in 1975. She was active, along with her husband, in the Almaden Cycle Touring Club, and also enjoyed reading and visits from her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Cathy is survived by her sons, Terry Ogilvie of San Jose, Wallace Ogilvie of Morgan Hill, and step-son Raymond Ogilvie of Oregon as well as grandchildren Brannon Holl, Daniel W. Ogilvie, Joshua Holl, Melissa McAvoy, Lisa Stoddard, Daniel Ogilvie, Michael Ogilvie and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Blanks of Quitman, MS. Her love of life and family will be missed by those who knew her.
Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, July 18 at 10 am at the Darling-Fischer Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos: 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos, CA. Burial to follow at the Los Gatos Memorial Park 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Rd, San Jose, CA

our walks are trips to the stores our trips to go see her husband she missed her husband so much that was time for her to be with him family have my deepest sympathy she's in a better place now I know that but it still hurts till we meet again Cathy with our Heavenly Father
