Peggy McKee Obituary

Peggy Sheleen McKee (Harris)
January 27, 1957 - October 18, 2017
Resident of San Jose
Sheleen passed away at her home in San Jose, California on October 18, 2017. She was born in Sheridan, WY to William J. and Betty J. McKee on January 27, 1957. She attended Kindergarten and First Grade in Buffalo, Wyoming. Her family returned to Sheridan in 1965. Sheleen graduated from Sheridan High School in 1975. In the late 70's she moved to California, eventually settling in San Jose.
Sheleen had a long satisfying career as a Surgical Assistant in the Dermatology practice of Doctors Robert Melnikoff and Walter Wood. The California climate was perfect for growing the roses that she nurtured and loved. Though she spent her adult life in California, she remained a "Wyoming Gal". She requested that her ashes be strewn in the Bighorn Mountains where she and her family spent many happy times.
Sheleen is survived by her husband of 25 years Samuel H. Harris, her mother Betty J. McKee of Sheridan, Wyoming, her step-mother Eloise McKee of Casper, Wyoming, her sister Suzanne McKee of Santa Fe, New Mexico and a step-brother Dr. Bert Wagner of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Her father predeceased her in 2011. Her family is deeply saddened by her early passing.

Sam - I am so, so sorry for your loss; Sheleen was a wonderful woman. I can't help but remember how giddy in love you were when you first met her. Please take care of yourself and be strong. - Nancy (Reuber) Castro

I'm very sad to hear of her passing. She was always such a light, and a friendly face when I visited the office. I so enjoyed her company at the holiday lunches. -Melissa Archibeque
