Ramon J. Villegas passed away peacefully on February 20, 2013 after a brief illness. Ramon was born on February 28, 1924 in Eagle Pass, Texas. Ramon came to California and was employed in the agricultural field. In 1953 he went to work for Alma and David S. Arata Jr. of Saratoga, California and remained their employee for 59 years until his retirement in April of 2012. He was, and still is, part of the Arata family. His kind, gentle and nurturing spirit endeared him to all whose lives he touched.
Ramon was the son of Paulita and Rafael Villegas, and the brother of Guadalupe Diaz, all deceased. He is survived by a nephew, Ernesto Diaz of Fort Valley, Georgia, nieces Lourdes Sied of Cedar Park, Texas and Maria Diaz Gonzales of Eagle Pass, Texas, as well as many great and great great nieces and nephews, along with dear friends Carrie and David J. Arata.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:00a.m at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 13716 Saratoga Ave., Saratoga. Interment will be private.
