Todd Simpson Obituary
Nov. 19, 1963 - Nov. 29, 2016
Resident of San Jose
Todd passed away at the V.A. Hospital in Palo Alto on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, after a valiant fight against esophageal and liver cancer. Born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Todd came to the bay area with his family in 1965, growing up in Los Altos, CA. He enjoyed playing soccer and tennis, bowling, going to the movies, shooting pool, and go-kart racing, and showed a fearless joy of speed on downhill ski slopes. He traveled much of the western U.S. and Europe with his family, graduating from Los Altos High School and attending local college prior to joining the U.S. Army. There he served as a Fighting Vehicle Infantryman and was stationed in Germany. He regaled us with stories of Bradley driving, German country sides, and downhill skiing for many years. Todd was an avid sports fan. He spent 45 years of his life of in Santa Clara County, many in San Jose, CA.
Todd's infectious smile, laugh, and sense of humor endeared him to many he met. He was a genuinely good person and devoted to his Christian faith.
Todd is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou, parents Damon and Judy Simpson, his sister Julie, and nieces Kelsey and Sydney. He is much loved and will forever be in our hearts.
Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend a celebration of Todd's life on Wednesday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at God's Church of Prophesy, 250 Virginia Drive, Campbell.

I had not seen Todd since we were kids, but he was a really neat kid. He had that same great smile and sparkling eyes as is in his adult photo. He was fun and I have thought of him many times. We will always remember his laugh.I know in my heart that when he changed realms he was held in so much love and light.I am so very sorry for your loss.
