Leon James Gremes
Leon James Gremes, 76 years old, passed away July 29, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at St John's hospital in St Paul, Minn., after his battle with cancer.
Leon was born to Erminia and Leon Gremes on January 18, 1947, in Chisholm, Minn.
He was a loving and devoted Father, Grandfather, and Uncle. He spent his career and retired from US steel Minntac in Mountain Iron. He enjoyed family, traveling, and going fishing with his childhood friend David Danielson.
He is survived by his ex spouse Shirley Gremes; three daughters: Katherine (Todd) Gremes of Grand Rapids, Minn.; Gail (Barry) Lofdahl of Austin, Texas; and Sarah (Jason) Pearson of White Bear Lake, Minn.: Grandsons: Anthony, Alexander, Adam; Mason; Granddaughter, Ava; great grandson, Everett; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Erminia and Leon; His brother Daniel Gremes; and his sister Donna Hendrickson.
A celebration of life will be held for Leon at a future date.

Jimmy and I were best friends since childhood he was the groomsman at my wedding We haven't seen much of each other in the last few years but I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace Jimmy.
