George A. Walker, 77, of Metropolis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes spread in Tucson, Arizona, at a later date.
George was retired, having spent his working career as a construction engineer and was an Eagle Scout.
George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Walker; children, Ryan Walker, Renee Townsend (Jason), Justin Walker (Hillary); grandchildren, Riley Walker, Aiden Walker, and Tyler Walker; niece, Jennifer Sparks; great nephew, Cole Billings.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean (Cullor) Walker; sister, Beverly Marich (Tony).
