Berlin Strawser Obituary

GREENVILLE — Berlin "Bud" E. Strawser, Age 95, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.

He was born August 25, 1919 to the late John & Nannie (Warner) Strawser in West Manchester, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis L. (Hartman) Strawser, daughter Linda Smith, great grandchild Corynna, brothers Herman, Elvin, William Strawser, sisters Nellie, Aretha, Margaret, and Naomi. He will be missed and remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law Michael & Penny Strawser of Greenville, John & Sue Strawser of Arcanum, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Bud was a former employee of Union Township and Hobart, a former antique dealer, and worked in plastering. He was a past president of the Laura Lion's Club and loved to go fishing.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Family received friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway St, Greenville, Ohio 45331 or Laura Lion's Club, 1 N. Main St, Laura, Ohio 45337.
