CONROY, FRANCES MARIE (MONNES)It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances Marie (Monnes) Conroy, 100, of Cromwell, on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Cromwell on October 23, 1916 to Frederick and Edith (Franklin) Monnes, she attended local schools and graduated from Middletown High School, Class of 1934. Mrs. Conroy was predeceased by her husband of sixty-one years, William T. Conroy, Sr. Mrs. Conroy is survived by two daughters, Judith Conroy of Woodland Hills, CA and Mary Lou Conroy of Cromwell and two sons, William Conroy, Jr. of Mount Hope, NY and James Conroy of Cromwell; a grandson, James Conroy and his wife, Ashley of Delaware; and two great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23rd at 9:00 am from the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell. Burial will follow in Saint Sebastian Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home.
