Josephine Baldyga Obituary
She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Anthony and Caroline (Bogdan) Radziwon. Prior to her retirement, she was a sewing machine operator with Fenner. Josie was a member of the St. Mary's Ladies Guild, Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary, and St. Mary's Senior Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Stanley Baldyga Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Middletown; and Walter Baldyga of Higganum; her daughter, Caroline Perez of Middletown; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; beloved nieces, Carol Ruffino and Cecelia Briggs; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Radziwon. She was predeceased by two brothers, three sisters and a daughter-in-law, Susan (Miles) Baldyga.
Funeral liturgy will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, S. Main St., Middletown. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Meriden. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex Hospital Weiss Hospice Unit, c/o Dept. of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457. Dear Baldyga Family,
I read with sadness about the death of "Mrs. Baldyga". She was a friend of my grandmother, Bozena ("Zena") Zatloukal. She lived at Reilly Manor until her death in 1997. Gram always admired Mrs. Baldyga (as she called her). Gram would often tell me, with admiration in her voice, how dedicated Mrs. B was to her husband's care, visiting him daily. Also, they both worked as sewing machine operators in years past. I met Mrs B. a few times - what a gracious lady! I hope Gram and Mrs. B are together right now, catching up on old times. Even though I don't know you, I just wanted to let you know how Mrs B. touched our lives. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was so saddened to hear about your loss. I had the great joy of having your mother as a neighbor for 14 years, she was a wonderful woman with a kind and loving heart.
