Nancy F. (Dascanio) St. Amand of Middlefield passed away peacefully on her 85th birthday, April 10, 2022 at Middlesex hospital. She is survived by her brother Robert Dascanio of Middlefield. She also leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Samuel St. Amand and their children. Daughter Diane Snyder and her husband Joseph of Middlefield. Daughter Joann Caffrey and husband Russell of Middletown. Son Paul St. Amand and wife Sheila of Durham. Son Simon St. Amand and wife Lori of Rockfall. Son Daniel St. Amand of Rockfall. Daughter Janet Ziperstein and husband Howie of Sandy Hook. Her many grandchildren Amanda, Matthew, Angela, Carley, Grant, Eric, Meghan, Bryant, Madison, Zachary and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Victoria, Frankie, Braylon, Keagan, Olivia, Grayson, Lucy, and Austin; great-great-grandchildren Noah and Leah. She was predeceased by her parents Simone and Francis Dascanio; brother Louis Dascanio; granddaughters Melissa Marie Braun-Cross and Taylor Ann Ziperstein; step-grandson Justin Snyder. She retired from a fulfilling career at the MARC Community Resources working with people with developmental disabilities. She worked many years as a CNA caring for the elderly. She enjoyed spending time with her extensive loving family and friends the most. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18th at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. Friends may call prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held Wednesday April 20th at 10 a.m. at the State Veterans' Cemetery.
