Some of my fondest memories during my growing years are of my days and hours with Valerie and my cousins in Bellingham at their home and in Riverside at our Memere's. We would play cards, drink Coke, and giggle at Valerie's endless quips and jokes. Everyone should have a cousin friendship like Val and I had.

I loved Valerie for her sense of humor and her steadfast loyalty. She was one of a kind and I miss her.

Dear Mother,

A more loving and unselfish person there could not be.

I cannot begin to express the sense of loss I feel.

All I can do is think back fondly on the simple moments we spent together such as my children's First Communion only a week earlier.

You was taken from us much too early and will be greatly missed.

Love
Your Son

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
