Herbert Alvarado Obituary
October 14, 1948 - February 25, 2018
Herbie passed comfortably in his home, surrounded by loved ones; as in life family and friends were most important. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Becky and his children Lisa Ortiz (Ben), Vincent Alvarado (Lisa), and Julie Brooks (Stephen). Grandchildren Alina, Vincent, and Axel Alvarado, Benjamin and Leilani Ortiz. Siblings Lydia, Jorge, and Mike Alvarado.
During his life he worked as a journeyman auto painter, Gallo Winery, and then formed A & N Construction. He built many friendships with clients and local businesses. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. His greatest legacy is the family and friends he leaves behind.
When asked what he wanted his obituary to say he replied, "Superman has finally died."
Memorial Service will be held at Prescott Evangelical Free Church March 10th at 3 P.M. Remembrances may be made to Prescott Evangelical Free Church or Community Hospice.

Herbie blessed our family in so many ways. Our children loved him and sought his advice as youngsters. He always had hugs for them. He was with our brother, Dan, when he died on the street in San Francisco while on his way for health care. He led Dan to the Lord years before that. Herbie was an amazing witness for Jesus and reached many in creative and unusual ways. He was fun to listen to, quite the story teller. He will be missed.

Dear Becky & Family.
I learned today that my favourite SS teacher is no longer here. I'm so sad to hear that news. Herbie was the best teacher. He took us fishing, he challenged us, he showed us how to be little men.
