Lisa Williamson Obituary

Lisa Williamson

January 30, 1973 - September 30, 2023

Livermore, California - Lisa Michelle Williamson

January 30, 1973 – September 30, 2023

It is with our utmost, profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Lisa Williamson on September 30, 2023.

Lisa was born on January 30, 1973 in Modesto, CA to Jim and Glenda Williamson, who knew right away they had a spitfire on their hands. The foundations of her fervent love for both animals and community were established early on, as she played an active role in Mountain View/Chatom 4-H, where she loved showing her prized pigs and her cake-decorating skills were unrivaled, and Brownies Troop #339, where she could always be seen on the Christmas parade float and chatting up neighbors while selling cookies.

In Modesto, Lisa met the love of her life, Seth Boles in 1999. They married on July 28, 2000 in a beautiful, traditional Japanese tea ceremony in Monterey, CA and moved to Lodi, CA in 2000. Lisa found solace and genuine excitement in caring for – and educating others about – animals; so much so, she volunteered, then became a zookeeper at, Micke Grove Zoo in Lodi.

As they both came from large, vibrant families, Lisa and Seth knew they eventually wanted to start a family of their own, but were informed they would be unable to have children of their own naturally. A testament to their boundless love, Lisa and Seth began their journey as foster parents. They fell head over heels for one very special girl, their daughter Tiffany. It was at almost this precise moment Lisa found out she was pregnant! Soon, the second love of their lives, Emily, was born. Seven months apart and many sleepless nights together, their family was complete.

Lisa and her family eventually settled in Livermore, CA, where she was an active volunteer in her daughters' schools. On their ranchette, she was able to revisit her fond country-living memories, masterfully developing a small farm replete with horses, chickens, sheep, cats, and lots of dogs.

Lisa will always be remembered as a true friend with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Her love for family, friends, and community was unwavering, and to anyone she met (or didn't even meet), she has left a truly indelible mark on all of our hearts.

Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents and her uncle Greg. She is survived by her husband, Seth Boles; her daughters, Emily and Tiffany; her parents, Jim and Glenda Williamson; her sister, Amy Williamson; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Lisa embraced me from day one with open arms and an open heart. She let me connect with her two daughters, which are relationships I cherish so dearly to me. She became an aunt to me, so much so that she´d introduce me to people as her aunt lol. She always was the first one to offer help when I needed it, support when I needed it, and was a beacon of positivity and open-mindedness. I will never forget the impact Lisa and her family have left on me, and I wish I had more time to repay her for everything she has done for me. Gone, but never forgotten.
