John P. Beddoes Jr.

1971 - 2020

John P. Beddoes Jr., age 49, of LaSalle, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020, in his home of natural causes.
Born April 10, 1971, in Toledo, Ohio, John was the son of John and Susan (Simon) Beddoes Sr. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1989. He earned a business management degree from Monroe County Community College.
On May 15, 2004, John married Nancy A. Ehlert at St. Mary Catholic Church in Monroe. He was employed by Washington Local School District in Toledo as a Computer Service technician for several years before taking medical retirement in 2014.
John was baptized at New Haven Baptist Temple in Farmington, New Mexico, in 2004. John and his family are currently members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, MI.
John was a member of the Lake Erie Offshore Performance Association (LEOPA). He enjoyed boating and being on the water with his family and friends. John loved many outdoor activities. He once had a pilot license but settled for his love of flying model airplanes in his backyard, amazing many neighbors who watched him fly. He loved taking his boys on ski trips and snowboarding with his brother Eric and good friend Earl. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars and watching NASCAR.
John is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, John P. III and Jacob Beddoes who reside at home; mother, Susan Beddoes of Mechanicsburg, PA; father, John (Helen) Beddoes of Lambertville; step-mother, Pam (Bob) O'Neil of Rossford, OH; brother, Eric (Natasha) Beddoes of Mechanicsburg, PA; mother-in-law, Veronica Ehlert of LaSalle; brothers-in-law, Joseph Ehlert of LaSalle and Michael (Doreen) Ehlert of Monroe; sister-in-law, Jill (Paul) Brazier of Rockwood; stepsister, Colleen O'Neil of Toledo, OH; and beloved nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maynard and Virginia Simon, and John and Dorothy Beddoes; and father-in-law, David Ehlert.
Family and friends may visit from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6th, at Bacarella Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Erie by the church pastor, Rev. Fr. Mark Prill. Due to attendance limitations, burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe will be privately attended by the family.

The family knows John had many good friends and he loved them all, but please, if you are having any cold-like symptoms we ask that you refrain from attending the service. We want you to know we love you and we understand.
