Jennifer Louise Pappas Obituary

Jennifer Louise Pappas (Michelle)
September 8, 1972 ~ September 3, 2008
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Jennifer Louise Pappas, 35, was born in Granada Hills, California on September 8, 1972 and died on September 3, 2008.
Jennifer's early years were spent in Los Angeles before moving to Santa Barbara, CA in 1980. Due to illness in her family, Jennifer moved to Akron, Ohio to live with her maternal grandmother.
She returned to California in 1992 and lived with her family in Monterey, CA while she attended MPC and worked as a clerk. She later returned to Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles again prior to moving to Colorado Springs in June 2008.
A gifted natural athlete, the question was not could she play, but could she play on the boys' team? Easily one of her greatest natural attributes was her ability to listen and express a genuine interest and playful curiosity in the hopes and dreams of the people closest to her. With her large heart and keen sense of encouragement she always made time to help persuade others to seize what they want most out of life.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Mary Pappas, of Colorado Springs; her stepfather, Frank Maida of Pacific Grove; her stepmother, Kathleen Maida of Pacific Grove; her brother, Joseph Maida of Santa Barbara; and her sister, Rachel Maida of Berkeley.
She will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held for family and friends at the First Baptist Church on 949 Veronica Springs Road in Santa Barbara, CA 93105 on November 15, 2008. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM.
