Richard Esquivel Obituary

Richard D. Esquivel
October 18, 1950 - December 24, 2021
Las Vegas, Nevada
After a brief illness with pancreatic cancer, Ricardo "Rick" passed away at his home in Las Vegas with family. Rick was born in Carmel to Eulalio and Josephine Esquivel. He graduated from PGHS in 1969. Known in the community from an early age as a drummer and for starting bands, he later traveled as a lead guitarist to Alaska and the Southwest. His artistic talents were not only music but ranged to woodworking, sandblasting pen and ink drawing, and painting. In 2015 he retired from his supervisor position at Carmel Valley Manor and moved to Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Godfrey-Esquivel, his children, Reid (Nikki), Cody (Ashley), Jace (Mendy), Caitlin (Brendan) Scott. Also, by his stepchildren Ali (Sonny) DiCicco, Frank (Daynia), Anthony (Avery), Michael Cardinale. His many grandchildren adored him. He is survived by his siblings Larry (Jory), Carol (Ted) and Sean.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for later this year.
We will miss his warm heart, joy, humor & love always.
