Godspeed Harold!
November 23, 2012
Polly,David Bob and other family members, I was so sorry to hear the news about Harold. I have a reason to be able to sympathize since I lost my Dad (Bill Causby) 59 years ago. Harold was dear to me every since he helped us move to Savanahh, Ga during World War II. We walked to the shipyard and his feet were burning on the pavement and he got old watermelon rinds and tied them on his feet to walk. From that day, I knew he was one of us...Again, you have my sympathy. Ralph Causby.. P.S Hello to Nelsonya.

I had the pleasure of working with Harold through NC Baptist Men for many years. He was a great man----wise, great sense of humor, and one who loved the Lord. He deserves much credit for the success of NC Baptist Men today.
My deepest sympathy to the Causby family.

We were some of the recent people in Harold & Polly's life. Their grand daughter Kelsy married our grandson Casey a year & a half ago. The little time we knew Harold we appreciated his sense of humour & his easy way with people. We had the pleasure of having Harold & Polly spend a night in our home last year.
Since we heard of Harold's
death we have been praying for the family & especially Polly, may God bless you all & may you feel God's Presence with you, In Christ's love,

Sweet Causby Family,
So many wonderful memories. It's too bad Harold Causby was never any fun . . and never smiled. HE WAS ALWAYS FUN! HE SMILED THE BIGGEST AND SWEETEST SMILE ALWAYS! In his big smile we could always see a little flicker of something FUN that was about to happen . . with him as the instigator. He will be missed, but will be with us forever! Thoughts and prayers and many sweet memories coming your way today.
Much love to all,

We, Casey's parents (his grandson by marriage) only met Harold a little more than a year ago but immediately felt a connection with him. He was the type of guy that really put you at ease when meeting a family for the first time. He was so spunky for his age and such fun! I know all of you will miss him so much. We will pray for you all as you go through this difficult time. I am sure all of heaven is enjoying Harold.

Praying for you all at this time. Harold's love for missions was always evident to me in all the years I've known him. He loved his Lord, his wife and family, his friends and he loved life. He always had a smile on his face. Bless you at this time of loss. Cling to the memories of a special man. Memory is what God gives that death cannot destroy.

Harold Causby leaves a legacy of his love for missions and a desire to see a lost world come to Christ. This love was a driving factor in how and where he used his resources. Many have been touched by his generous spirit - including our family. We are grateful for the blessings we and others have received because of his love for His Lord and compassion to help others.
