Angeline Goldiemae Shorts

LORAIN - Angeline Goldiemae Shorts, age 85, of Lorain, peacefully passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, in New Life Hospice of St. Joseph.
She was born in Buffalo, New York, on Aug. 27, 1929. She moved to Lorain at age 15 and was a graduate of Lorain High School. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Lorain, where she formerly served on the Women's Auxiliary and sang in the choir.
Following her retirement as a seamstress from the former Joseph & Feiss Company, she and her husband established and operated the Royal Coach Limousine Service. Her favorite pastimes included writing poetry, swimming, league bowling, sewing, and cooking.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, James Shorts and Terrence Shorts, both of Lorain, Todd Shorts of Colorado, and Scott Shorts of Oberlin; daughters, Deborah Shorts, Cheryl Jenkins, and Gwendolyn Shorts-Norfus, all of Lorain; a brother, Richard Jennings of Kissimmee, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Leroy Shorts; parents, Hazel and Gladys Jennings; brothers, Alvin Jennings and William Jennings; and sisters, Jean Jennings and Gloria Woodley.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2160 Reeves Ave, Lorain. Pastor John R. Jackson is officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
