Mark Branch Obituary

Mark Robert Branch, "Mark thee Barber", 23 of Avon Lake passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Mark lost his battle. He was born March 24, 1994 in Lorain, OH.
Mark was a 2012 graduate of Avon Lake High School and a graduate of the Ohio State Barber College in 2014. For the past three years, he has been the barber extraordinaire at Art of Cutz in Lorain, Oh.
Mark enjoyed all professional sports, especially boating and water sports and we can't forget the fast cars.
Mark Branch loved all parts of his life, from his job as a barber working with Frank, to his family and his friends, and above all else his loving girlfriend, Taylor. With an infectious laugh and the ability to have a good time anywhere doing anything, he will be sorely missed by all. A soldier who lost his war against addiction, a brother who's laugh will never be forgotten, a son who's voice will never fade, a friend who's loyalty will never diminish, and a partner who's love knows no bounds. We salute the man he became and the man he had yet to become
Mark is survived by his parents, David and Colleen Branch of Avon Lake; siblings, Mandy (Nick) Dufresne of Avon Lake, Matthew Branch of Newport, KY, Mallorie Branch of Avon Lake, and Madison Branch of Avon Lake; his beloved partner, Taylor Seton of Bay Village; his birth mother, Sheila Jean Mullinax; nieces, Marleigh and Carleigh Dufresne.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, ET and Gerry Swann; paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Branch.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be forwarded to LCADA 2115 West Park Dr. Lorain, OH 44053 and NORML 1100 H. Street NW. Suite 830, Washington, DC 20005. All services private. www.buschcares.com 440-933-3202

I am heartbroken. I had Mark as a student at Learwood Middle School my very first year teaching. He was a funny, bright, friendly, and polite young man. I had him for math during first period.

Mark, you have touched many lives and you will be missed.

To the family, my heart aches for you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. As a mother, there is nothing worse than losing your child. I am so very sorry.

My heart breaks for you. I remember very vividly Cody and Mark walking in the neighborhood arm and arm as little boys and Mark was just too cute for words even back then with a smile that could make you melt. Our deepest sympathy.

I did not know Mark thee Barber or any of his family. I wanted to thank his family for having the courage and fortitude to tell us how Mark passed.

I am an aging man and I check the obits every day to see if any of my family or friends have passed so that I can offer condolences online or visit the funeral home to personally offer my condolences.

I have noticed that there are a LOT of young people dying every week, many more than could be happening by accident. It is NOT natural that a person in his teens and 20s should just pass naturally, so I suspected that the cause was related to substance abuse.

It took fortitude for the family to do that; fortitude and a true love for your family and your community; to bring warning to us all about the scourge of substance abuse.

Thank you, and may God bless you in this time of need and unimaginable grief. And may we all, including Mark, meet in the resurrection of the just.
