Cameron Combs Obituary

Cameron Douglas Combs was born on August 7th, 2002 in Odessa, TX and immediately brought light into this world. On September 14th of 2021, our world lost a little bit of its warmth with Cameron's unexpected and sudden passing in Pflugerville, TX. With each milestone and magic moment, Cameron gave all his enthusiasm and charm to everyone around him. Known to his sister as Mam-run, his mother and father as Cam, affectionately called Bink by his MeMe, but always seen as the brightest light in the room. Cameron was one of those unique people that doesn't come along very often. He was honest about both his triumphs and struggles and knew the importance of balancing both. He was brilliant and creative and thought in the abstract about how things should be and how he could get them there. He was always coming up with imaginative ideas on how he could solve the world's problems. Given a little bit more time, he just might have done it. Cameron became a Christian when he accepted Christ into his heart at age 15 on Easter Sunday. His faith never wavered, and he relied on his relationship with God to help lead him through difficult times. Although his death was unexpected, Cameron always knew where he was going when God called him home. Because of this, Cameron would not want us to be disheartened in his passing, rather he would want us to rejoice in his salvation and knowledge that he is now with the Lord. Kind and gentle with the warmest heart, Cameron was passionate about programs that helped at-risk youth and cared for animals. His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Cameron's honor to either Youth-Reach Houston or FixWestTexas.org. Cameron is preceded in death by his great-grandfather Jimmy Rance Stroud and uncles Dean Anderson and Darrin 'Uncle Ugh' Anderson. He is survived by his mother, Brittany Hennessey and husband Ryan; father Caleb Combs and wife Tara; sister Mackenzy; great-grandmother Doris Wanell Stroud; maternal grandparents Lindia Anderson and Gregory Morris; paternal grandparents Dianne and Dean Combs; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. But Cameron's biggest and most loyal friend was his beautiful pit bull, A.B. who protected him to the end. We are also eternally grateful to his mentor Curt Williams for the wisdom he shared with this special young man. Cameron lived big, therefore he leaves a big hole that will only be filled when we are all together again. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 25th 2021 at The Station on Mercer in Dripping Springs, TX from 10:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Cameron,
It was truly an honor to be your Mother. Thank you, for everything, past and future. Open invitation: please visit us anytime you'd like - you are always welcome. I have never missed anyone or anything this much before and nc, it's not easy but I can almost hear you saying "are you done yet, Mom?"
Taken so young, so much left to do and see. I think maybe, you were here as long as you needed to be and left such a deep imprint on so many peoples lives, in such a short amount of time. I told ya - you're special kiddo. I'm so so sorry. I would give ANYTHING to cook for you one more time and WandaVision on the couch. You are literally the best person I've ever met.
It was my greatest honor to be your Mother.
