Chester McDonald Obituary

Chester (Mac) McDonald, age 85, of Waxahachie, passed away March 14, 2010 at his home. He was born July 4, 1924 in Ferris, Texas to Cleveland Boles and Bertie Ann (Shepard) McDonald. Mac was a loving husband and father. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during WWII in North Africa and Italy. Mac worked for Magnolia/Mobile for 19 years and then owned his own business, McDonald Meter Service, for 25 years. He was a member of the Red Oak Church of Christ, the V.F.W. and American Legion of Waxahachie. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Dixie McDonald of Waxahachie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, L. P. and Norma Coston of Katy, TX; nephews, Jerry McDonald and his wife, Judy of Waxahachie and Danny Elerson and his wife, Brenda of Canton, TX. He was preceded in death by his son, David Joe McDonald. Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Red Oak Church of Christ with Mr. Wayne England officiating. Dixie,

Hi it's Petey Ray. Sorry for your loss. Y'all were great neighbors to me. I thank you for that! I lost Jim Ray in November from Lou Gehrig's disease, didn't know if you knew. I'll be thinking about you! Hang in there.
