Joel Galindo went to be home with our heavenly father on September 11, 2014, in Midland, Texas. He was born in Odessa, Texas, on May 26, 1968. He was raised and educated in Midland, Texas. With his contagious laughter and unique sense of humor, he was a joy for those around him. This is a great loss and too soon, as he was a loving, caring, and giving person. He touched so many lives. Joel was an incredibly intelligent person who enjoyed technology. In his spare time he enjoyed building and repairing computers and he also created many inventions that were in the process of being patented. Furthermore, he loved spending hours cooking for his children, family, and friends. He operated Rosa Mexican Restaurant with his mother in the Midland International Airport area for many years. He had and used all of his mother's special recipes. He enjoyed music and all who knew him well, knew he loved Michael Jackson the most. He was also an avid collector of Star Wars memorabilia. Joel was a loved father, grandfather, son, brother, and cousin. He was very proud of all of his children. Joel's life would seem too short to many, but those who knew him, know he lived life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed. To best remember his love, this poem is dedicated to him by his children. "Each day you strived to live, your body too weak to be, your love will live forever, since your heart has set you free, now you walk so bravely, you feel the pain no more, angels have come to guide you, and bring you to Heaven's door, memories will hold so dearly, your smile warmed our hearts, and through our lives you'll live, you've touched so many parts, hard days may be before us, it's all a part of God's plan, why you left so soon, we may never understand, you'll be alone no longer, and you'd tell us "don't be sad," please believe you were no burden, we'll always love you Dad! Our lives have changed forever, since the day you passed away, in heaven you'll be waiting, to meet us again someday." He is preceded in death by his mother, Elida Rosa Galindo; and nephew, Gregory.
