Kevin Dean Sitz

Kevin Dean Sitz, 52, of Midland, Texas, went to his heavenly home on November 24, 2016, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Odessa, Texas to Richard and Edna Sitz on September 6, 1964. After the family moved to Monahans in 1966, Kevin graduated from Monahans High School in 1983. He then graduated from college, Magna Cum Laude, with a Golf Course Operations, Irrigation Technology degree to follow his passion for golf by building golf courses, which took him all across the United States. After his stint working on golf courses, Kevin brought his two daughters to Midland to live. He continued working and sharing his knowledge at UTPB in Odessa as the Grounds Superintendent, where in 2011 he received Employee of the Year. Kevin enjoyed all sports, fishing with his family, and going on vacations. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sitz in 2013, and his brother-in-law, Steve Aikman. He is survived by his two daughters, Cassandra (Cassie) Sitz and Kieri Sitz; his mother, Edna Sitz; sister, Cheryle Aikman; and brother, Garry Sitz and wife Cathy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Stonegate Fellowship, Building F, on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kevin's name to UTPB Athletics, online at UTPB.edu, or Stonegate Fellowship, 6000 W.
