Magali Fuentes Obituary

Magali Ramirez Fuentes
08/31/1992 - 10/18/2023
Magali was born in Perryton, TX to Margarito & Mary Ramirez. God blessed Magali with a spirit of caring & giving in service to others. She loved her family dearly and cared for them throughout her life.
She graduated from Lee High School in 2010. Her first job was in high school and she worked for the Rockhounds. She loved working with people and especially children which lead her to her next career step, Toys-R-Us. Through out her life children were an important part of her soul. Her career continued on to Dillard's where she worked for 8 years. Magali was a trailblazer in an environment in which age and experience were against her. She excelled in ways few before her and few after her were able to accomplish. She was the youngest manager at Dillard's at 19 years old. Her love of service to others provided the perfect outlet for her passions. She not only succeeded professionally; she grew personally where she developed life long friends who would carry her on her life journey. She moved to Ulta in 2018 and continued to thrive and excel professionally with a company and team she loved deeply. Under her leadership, her natural desire to serve and care for others created many new leaders with opportunities and potential. She was selfless.
2011 was a pivotal year for Magali. She had accomplished much professionally and was changed forever when she met her wife, Drea. Drea was the love of her life. She found love, joy and commitment and celebrated permanently when they married October 17, 2020. In true Magali style, they were married in Las Vegas surrounded by family and friends.
Life with Magali was always an adventure. She worked tirelessly and she lived with the same passion. To know Magali was to love Magali. Her strength was fierce and her courage was firm. Magali was a warrior. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she fought like a woman determined to meet the challenge. Even when she was uncertain, afraid, in pain or not feeling well, she cared for others. She never wanted to be selfish, more important or not able to provide what others needed all the while she fought the fight to win. While she lost her earthly fight, she won eternity with Christ our Lord and Savior.
Magali loved deeply. She loved her wife, her parents, her family, her friends and her pets who provided enormous joy. Magali was touched and loved by many. There will always be a "wolf pack" of friends who will carry on her strength and courage. In the end, what she left for others is the determination to fight to live every single day, that your circumstances do not determine your attitude and to love big.
Magali is survived by her devoted and loving wife Drea, her parents Margarito & Mary Ramirez, her brother Lionel Valadez, her grandmother Mercedes Borrego and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins, god-children, extended family and many, many friends.
Magali is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Angel Ramirez Franco, her paternal grandmother Reyes Gonzales DeRamirez, her maternal grandfather Ezequiel Borrego Sr and her father-in-law Samuel Arambula Fuentes.
Viewing will be Tuesday October 24th & Wednesday October 25th both days from 1pm to 9pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, 2508 N. Big Spring ST. Rosary to be recited Wednesday October 25th at 7pm at the funeral home.
Funeral mass is set for Thursday October 26th at 2:00pm at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Ave. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring St.
Pallbearers for the service will be Angel Ramirez, Angel Ramirez III, Hector Fuentes, John D. Lujan, Enrique Garza, Christopher Gonzales, Nicolas Borrego, and Manuel Ramirez
