Naomi R. Perry

Naomi R. Perry, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Ash Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

On September 19, 1912, Naomi was born in Mercer Gap-Comanche, Texas to the late Milfard and Hester Brown. She was raised and educated in Mercer Gap-Comanche, Texas. Naomi married W.H. Perry on October 27, 1934 in Mercer Gap, Texas. She was a homemaker that enjoyed westerns, and her favorite movie was "Gone with the Wind". She was a faithful member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and active in their Altar Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Naomi was a great joy to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milfard & Hester Brown; husband, W.H. Perry; brothers, Alvin and Herbert Brown; sister, Elsie Gray, and one great-grandson, Cody Pentecost.

Naomi is survived by her son, Shelbern Perry, of Midland, Texas; daughter, Sue Prew and husband Gene, of Eula, Texas; granddaughter, Debbie Pentecost and husband Coy, of Abilene, Texas; grandsons, Raymond Prew and fianceé Cindy Lane, of Austin, Texas; Wade Prew, of Elgin, Texas; Doug Prew & wife Kelly, of Lexington, Texas; Michael Prew, of Austin, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Prew, Wade Prew, Doug Prew, Michael Prew, Coy Pentecost, Timber Floyd and Robert Brunner.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to St Ann's Catholic Church/Altar Society, 1906 W. Texas Avenue, Midland, Texas 79701 or Manor Park/Mabee Health Care Center, 2208 N. Loop 250 West, Midland, Texas 79707.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at the Mabee Health Care Center, Dr. Ganta and staff, Dr. Bartha, Dr P.K. Patel, Dr. D'Agostino, Dr. Crockett, Dr. Houston, Dr. Donald W. Floyd, and the ER, forth floor and ICU staff at Midland Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they gave her.
