Euvella Leonard Obituary
Euvella Wray Leonard, 77, of Mount Airy, passed away at her home Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022. She was born in Surry County, May 20, 1944, to the late Archie and Martha Bowman Wray. The job that gave Mrs. Leonard the most joy was being a homemaker, caring for her husband, children, and her adored grandchildren. She will be remembered by her husband of 48 years, Darrell Leonard; her children and their spouses, Lisa Acklin, Jason and Brooke Leonard, Angie and Wesley Hemmings, and Christopher and Tomi Leonard; grandchildren, Kaylin, Abigail, Keaton, Reese, Adley, Colby, Olivia, Colton, Natalee, Gracie, Braxton, Hailey, and Noah; sisters, Mary Wray and Linda Griffin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her brothers, Lannie Wray and Tony Wray. A graveside service will be held at the McCraw Family Cemetery on Longleaf Road, Cana, Virginia, on Monday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be assisting the Leonard Family. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
