Gaynell Ring

1939 - 2024

Gaynell Wolfe Ring, age 85, of Siloam, went to be with her sweet Jesus on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Woltz Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving girls and family. She was born on March 8, 1939, in Surry County to the late Edd Coley and Laura Anna Bruner Wolfe. She was a sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a dedicated member of Pine Hill Church, who loved and cherished her church family. Mrs. Ring spent her working years as a seamstress at Spencer's Hosiery. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Joan Ring (Dale) Johnson, Kim Ring (Terry) Pratt, Sheila Ring (Michael) Creed; grandchildren, Adam (Megan) Johnson, Daniel (Shannon) Johnson, Laken Creed, Luke Creed, and Billy Creed; great-grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Levi Johnson, William Johnson, Emma Johnson, Abel Johnson, and Mac Johnson; and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Edd Coley and Laura Anna Bruner Wolfe, Mrs. Ring was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Louis Ring; siblings, Betty Lou Richardson, Billy Wolfe, Kenneth Wolfe, and Gray Wolfe. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 23, at Pine Hill Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Mayes, Pastor Michael Thames, and Pastor Scott Coleson officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23, at Pine Hill Church from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at Woltz Hospice Home.
