Donna Marie Parks of South Bound Brook, NJ, born on 5/17/1954 went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on 1/2/2014, while in Arizona. She was a police department dispatcher for 25 years working for Bound Brook Police Department and retiring from Raritan Police Department. She was a graduate of Hillsborough High School.

Donna is predeceased by her father, Vincent Roman. Surviving are her loving husband, Howard Parks of South Bound Brook, NJ, Cherished daughters, Amanda Parks and Melanie Parks, her mother Eleanor Roman, sister, Carol Roman, cousin Patty Ouslander, niece Sharon Kay Parks and nephew, Matthew Strawmier, as well as many friends, family and coworkers who will miss her dearly. Donna will be most remembered for her love for animals. She had many pets over the years and often donated to animal shelters in the area.

Services will be held April 26, 2014 at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home 111 North Gaston Avenue in Somerville, NJ. Visitation 12pm-1pm with services at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Franklin Township Animal Shelter, 475 Demott Lane, Somerset, NJ 732-873-2500 or donations can be made to the family to help with cost for service.
