Joseph Stella Obituary
AGE: 82 • Hillsborough
Joseph Rocco La Stella Sr., 82, of Hillsborough NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 4, 2015. Born in Montclair, NJ, he was raised there before moving to Bridgewater, where he resided for 30 years, before moving to Hillsborough 20 years ago.
Joseph was a great man of faith and was a licensed captain through the U.S. Coast Guard.
He enjoyed boating and fishing on his boat "Reel Fun", and enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Mr. La Stella is preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Margaret La Stella, his beloved wife of 50 years, Catherine Marie La Stella, and one dear granddaughter, Jessica Nicholle La Stella.
Surviving are his four beloved sons, Joseph and his wife Antonette La Stella Jr. of Flemington, NJ, Gary La Stella and Tami Nieves of South Amboy, NJ, David and his wife Kathleen La Stella of Flemington, NJ, and Richard and his wife Sarah La Stella of Bridgewater, NJ; his loving daughter Trina and husband Jules Pampani of Hillsborough, NJ, his brother Anthony La Stella of Whiting, NJ; twenty-one cherished grandchildren, and twenty cherished great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2015 from 6-9 PM at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg NJ 08876. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 8:15 PM on April 8, 2015.
Committal is private.
