Walter F. Dallenbach of Milltown, NJ passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. He was 74 years old. Born in New Brunswick, he was a long time area resident and a former resident of Cape Charles, VA. Walter was a Lieutenant NJ State Police Trooper retiring from Troop "C" after 25 years of service. After retiring, he began his own private investigation company for insurance fraud. He was a veteran of the US Army, and was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post #25 of Milltown and Past Commander and District Commander of the Cheriton Virginia American Legion. He was a member and a Past Master of the Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 111 in Princeton. He also was a member of the Former Trooper Association and the Kiwanis.

Predeceased by his brother, David "Mike" Dallenbach, he is survived by his loving wife, Cathleen (nee:Regan) Dallenbach; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mike Pelligra of Monroe Twp. NJ; son, Christopher Dallenbach of Sarasota, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Elise Dallenbach of Ringoes, NJ, Walter and Michelle Dallenbach of Spotswood, NJ, and Tim and Roza Crea of Plainsboro, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law, Lt. Col. Donald A. and Lorraine Dallenbach of Gallatin TN; two sisters, Elisa Dallenbach of Eureka, CA and Sue Dallenbach Tricario of Jefferson, NY and sister-in-law, Helen Dallenbach of Freehold, NJ. Also survived by ten grandchildren, Daniel, Lucas, Matthew, Katie, Natalie, Amanda, Chris, Madeline, Nigel, & Vivian and many nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends, Thursday 4pm-8pm at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown. Funeral services Thursday 8pm at the funeral home. Final disposition will be private.
