Theodore Ball Obituary
He was born on Sept. 7, 1924, in Franklin to Lloyd William and Eva Iris Cox Ball. He married Wilma Robson on Sept. 28, 1946, and she preceded him in death in December 1980. On July 26, 1981, he married Ola Mae Boulware, and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2012.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce (Pat) Jeffrey, Evelyn (Jim) Wilson and Patti (Bob) Henry; two sisters, Margaret Cox and Beatrice Smith; five grandsons, Seth Wilson, Drew Wilson, C.J. Jeffrey, Justin Jeffrey and Scott DeLong; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Ball; and four brothers, Geoffrey, Byron, Lawrence and Gerald Ball.
Ted and his wife Wilma farmed in Illinois for several years before moving in 1961 to Paris. After moving, he continued to farm until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He also was a member of First Christian Church. Ted served in the Army during World War II, stationed in Alaska. He was a member of American Legion Post #221 and the VFW for 68 years.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Agnew Funeral Home in Paris. A funeral will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico. Neece -Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Waverly is assisting the family with local arrangements.
