Arthur Lawrence Bray, Jr.
Murrells Inlet
Arthur Lawrence Bray, Jr. 72 years old, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on April 7th, 2018, at his home in Murrells Inlet, SC.
He was a Vietnam vet in the army, as a Ranger and a medic, and was a purple heart recipient. He was a police officer for Myrtle Beach, Charleston County, and in California Corrections.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Arthur L Bray, Sr. He is survived by his twin sisters, Rebecca Sloan of Murrell's Inlet, and Beverly Carroll of Warner Robins, Georgia. A daughter, Laura Bray Schwach of Charleston, and her 2 children, Lindsey Schwach and William Schwach. Also a niece, Rachel Conley and her husband James, and 3 children, Will, Clara, and Caroline. A nephew, Philip Sloan and his son, Brayden, from Maine. Art had many friends including Mike Jones and Julie Snyder of Delaware, and Donn Ramsey of Myrtle Beach, and many others who loved him.
A special thanks goes to Recency Hospice for all of the love they showed us.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14th at 1 PM at the American Legion of Murrells Inlet, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building fund of Journey Church P.O. Box 32017; Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
